Shambala (Sanskrit for Pure Land) is a beautifully renovated country house, set in six acres of quiet and secluded grounds on the edge of Findhorn Bay, adjacent to a nature reserve. Part of the Findhorn Foundation community, it is situated across the road from The Park.

Our calm and beautiful gardens with direct access to the beach of Findhorn Bay encourage you to free your mind from distractions and focus your attention on the beauty of the present moment.

We can accommodate up to 24 guests in 8 beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms with private or en-suite facilities, most of which offer glorious views onto the Findhorn Bay. All our rooms are equipped with orthopedic mattresses and natural bedding.

Retreats and courses

Shambala has a spiritually supportive environment and we welcome people from all spiritual traditions to join our meditations, retreats and courses. Shambala also affords an ideal space for individual reflection and contemplation, and you are welcome to create your own personal retreat.

Shambala as a venue

Our beautiful Meditation Hall and Ballroom provide an ideal venue for your retreats, courses and conferences. There is an additional Seminar Room for smaller events, featuring a Buddhist library and a large decked roof terrace with stunning views over Findhorn Bay.
